Corporate Social Responsibility Event

The World Urban Forum is a biennial gathering attended by a wide range of partners, from private sector, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, urban professionals, academics, to governments, local authorities and national and international associations of local governments. It gives all these actors a common
platform to discuss urban issues in formal and informal ways and come up with action-oriented proposals to create sustainable cities. About 10,000 participants are expected, 25% being from the private sector. The WUF4 will include a Business Forum, a Business Expo and a roundtable to share business practices, technologies and business models that respond to the challenges of urbanization:

1. Innovative products and building systems for better shelter solutions
2. Innovative technologies for affordable water supply and sanitation
3. Clean energy options for all and energy efficiency solutions
4. Appropriate waste management solutions for human settlements
5. Financial products and real estate solutions to address housing needs
6. Training and IT solutions to strengthen urban entrepreneurship

The Habitat Business Award will also be given in recognition of outstanding business practices for sustainable urbanization.
