Corporate Social Responsibility Event
5.29.2008 - 5.30.2008
Carbon Footprint Supply Chain Summit
Carbon Footprint Supply Chain 2008 follows our sell-out May (London) and
September (Chicago) 2007 events, which attracted 200 senior executives
from retailers, FMCG manufacturers and suppliers from around the world.
The 2008 event will bring together similar representatives from throughout
the supply chain to define the key issues that businesses need to look at
to drive the improvement of environmental performance. Carbon footprinting
drives the improvement of carbon, while life cycle analysis will examine
improvements in the use of non-renewable resources, GHG, water, waste and
pollution.
But, what about other key criteria that we also need to measure, namely
biodiversity? How do we develop a holistic approach based on life cycle
analysis and biodiversity? How do we ensure these are the greatest
environmental impacts most relevant to the specific product category?
This is a unique opportunity to benchmark sustainability strategies within
a highly competitive industry. Attend this Summit to examine carbon within
the wider sustainability framework to understand where are the greatest
impacts – What needs to be measured? How do you focus your efforts
across carbon, water, energy and packaging to achieve absolute reductions?
What is the optimum mix of strategies?
