A dedicated and experienced development professional with a background in community economic development, Luis’ work focuses on project management, communication strategy, and the design of community outreach projects. Currently working at AMGlobal consulting, he has led successful client missions, and helped broker partnerships and building business relationships to strengthen emergency preparedness in his home country of Peru – including work with the biggest manufacturing company of firefighting apparel in the world to provide training, donations, and humanitarian relief to first responders in vulnerable areas.
Prior to joining AMGlobal, Luis worked for the Inter American Development Bank at its offices in Panama city, Panama, as a program Monitoring & Evaluation Fellow. His experience also includes working with HRL labs as a Strategic Researcher, as well as Consular Administrator for the General Consulate of Peru in Los Angeles, CA. Luis is passionate about improving lives through Social Entrepreneurship, Public-Private Partnerships, and CSR (corporate social responsibility).
Luis graduated from the Luskin School of Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Masters in Urban Regional Planning specializing in Community Economic Development, he also holds a Masters in Latin American studies and a B.A. In Political Science & International Relations also from UCLA. He speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
