Global Impact Announces Appointment of New Director, Executive Officer for the Combined Federal Campaign – Overseas
Edward J. Willett and Max Winegar Join Leadership Team of Second-Largest Fundraising Campaign for Federal Employees
(CSRwire) ALEXANDRIA, VA - September 26, 2007 – Global Impact, administrator for
the Combined Federal Campaign - Overseas, announced today that Edward J.
Willett has been named director of the fundraising campaign for all
overseas commands of the Department of Defense.
As campaign administrator, Global Impact provides the CFC-O an experienced
leadership team with significant knowledge in accounting, communications,
fundraising, management, technology and training.
"We are very excited to have Ed join CFC-O," said Renée S. Acosta,
President and CEO of Global Impact. "He brings to the position a wealth of
insight and hands-on experience in international development."
Formerly with the Peace Corps, Willett served as Country Director in
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. He was responsible for managing and directing
all aspects of Peace Corps programming in his country of assignment and
took a leadership role in preparing cooperating agreements between Peace
Corps and host country government officials, local authorities,
representatives of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and other persons
of influence in the country's developmental efforts.
Prior to joining the Peace Corps, Willett served as the Director of
Congressional and Legislative Programs for the U.S. Department of
Agriculture Graduate School. He represented the organization on Capitol
Hill and conducted a series of congressional programs for Federal, state
and local executives.
In addition to Willett, Max Winegar has been named Executive Officer of
CFC–O. Previously, Winegar served as the Association Manager/Website
Developer for the Air Defense Artillery Association, a not-for-profit
organization, and most recently worked with Department of Defense schools
in Germany.

dedication to lead the CFC-O to even greater levels of support for those
most in need across the globe."
