National Charity Golf Scramble - Part One Complete
First Federal Savings Bank and USA Cares wrap up the first round of a three-part golf event across the Nation
(CSRwire) RADCLIFF, KY - September 11, 2007 - An $11,300 check was presented to USA
Cares www.usacares.us
from First Federal Savings
Bank at the Radcliff Kentucky Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon.
The Golf Scramble that made it possible was held in late August at Lindsay Golf
Course on historic Ft. Knox Kentucky.
This scramble, and another to be held on October 17th, 2007 at Timacuan Golf
Club, in Lake Mary Florida, both lead into the Inaugural USA Cares
Golf Classic, to be held at the Mountain Gate Country Club in Los
Angeles California, November 12th, 2007.
A trip for two was won by Henry George at the Ft. Knox Golf Scramble, with
another such trip to be given away at the event in Orlando. Included are
hotel and airfare for all four spaces to the Mountain Gate USA Cares Golf
Classic. The opportunity to win a trip to LA caused a nearly full scramble
the first time on the military golf course that overlooks the US Bullion
Depository.
“Golf scrambles have proven to be an extremely popular event,” said
Barbra Yaw Dawson, Direct of Communications for USA Cares. “ We are
beginning to fill our 2008 calendar with similar opportunities with
businesses and organizations interested in hosting scrambles across
America,” she added.
Golf scrambles help USA Cares continue their mission of supporting
military service members and families in crises. USA Cares is planning a
calendar for events beginning in spring of 2008. Should your business,
organization or course be interested in hosting such an event, please
contact USA Cares.
