Cowley Crossing Developers Pledge $300,000 Largest Local Support For USA Cares
Ribbon cutting on multi-million dollar project - Opens with donations to local charities
(CSRwire) RADCLIFF, KY - July 18, 2007 - As the final touches wrap up on the Cowley
Crossing Development Model home, and preparations are made for the noon
ribbon cutting ceremony by the Radcliff Chamber of Commerce, USA Cares, a
local charity for military service members has a reason to cheer as
well.
A pledge of $300,000 is being made to the organization in support of local
military as well as those stationed around the world, and USA Cares
couldn’t be happier about it. "This is the largest donation USA Cares
has received east of the Mississippi," said Roger Stradley, founder and
Operations Director of USA Cares, "and certainly in the local area." "We
are blessed, and very thankful for the local support USA Cares is
receiving." Stradley continued.
Philip Murrell, President of the Cowley Crossing development said, "In
pledging this support to one of America's leading non-profits supporting
our troops, we're demonstrating that Hardin County Developers cares too.
The management and owners are proud that the outstanding staff and
volunteers of USA Cares are also part of our Radcliff community - and
proud to give back to the brave troops and family members who have
sacrificed so much for us."
Hugh Dukes, Executive Director of USA Cares, said, "Our thanks to the
Cowley Crossing Developers extends their outstanding record of years of
dedicated service to Radcliff and growth in the community and beyond."
Dukes continued, "Not only will Cowley Crossing provide opportunities for
beautiful homes for local families, but this gift will reach out and
provide support to service members and their families across the Nation -
this alliance represents the heart of America, and we’re grateful for
their support."
A donation from every plot and home sold in the development will be
donated quarterly to USA Cares and its continuing mission to support the
military service members and their families. In addition to a check
presentation of $300,000, Cowley Crossing Developers will donate to the
Abundant Living Bible College and celebrate the ribbon cutting on their
Model Home, open and available for a viewing. A picnic style lunch will
also be served; and the local community is invited to attend.
