(CSRwire) In its latest Sustainable Development Report available via http://www.reportalert.info/ra/SabMiller040707.htm, SABMiller provides an update on its sustainable development framework which was introduced in last year’s Report. Since then, the framework has been embedded into operations under management control of SABMiller companies across six continents.

There is news on each of the 10 priorities within the framework which range from responsible drinking through to water and energy consumption, in addition to influencing the supply chain and progress on HIV/Aids programmes.

The Report notes how the company performed against its previous commitments. There is information on a new self-assessment measurement system which provides consistent and transparent data from operations across the Group. Targets and focus areas for the next year are listed for each of the 10 priorities. Progress against the UN Global Compact’s 10 principles is summarised, and information on ‘Our people’ and product quality, is also included.
