ReportAlert.info - General Electric (GE) Publishes 2007 Citizenship Report
(CSRwire) June 22, 20007- GE today released its 2007 citizenship report, highlighting
the company's progress on its 2006 commitments and providing a view into
its priorities for the coming year. The report, "Investing in a
Sustainable Future," is the company's third, and focuses on the
interdependence between business strategy and corporate citizenship,
especially as it relates to social and environmental issues in emerging
markets.
For this year’s report, GE convened a Stakeholder Report Review Panel
that provided feedback on the company’s reporting process and content.
The result of the engagement can be viewed in the Review Panel Commentary,
published unedited in the report. Other notable content includes the
release of the GE Statement of Principles on Human Rights and disclosure
of the Company's U.S. political contributions by recipient and amount. The
report is also available in PDF format to users in its entirety or
customizable by section and topic via the company’s website available on

The print report will be translated into French, Spanish, German, Italian
and Chinese (Mandarin).
The report has been produced to level A of the new third generation GRI
framework. GE is a member of the 2006 Dow Jones Sustainability Index and
has been named FORTUNE magazine’s "Most Admired" U.S. and global
corporation for the second straight year and seventh time in a decade. In
addition, GE's compliance program has received the top ranking in
Ethisphere Magazine's annual ranking for the world's most ethical company
in the diversified industries category.
The 2007 citizenship report follows the Company's recent release of its
annual ecomagination report that details GE's vision and commitment to
harness GE's products and services to address the world's pressing
environmental issues.
