Deloitte & Touche USA Presented Work Life Legacy Corporate Partnership Award by Families and Work Institute
Sharon Allen, W. Stanton Smith awarded individual Work Life Legacy honors for their leadership in workplace initiatives, multigenerational research
(CSRwire) NEW YORK- June 11, 2007 — Families and Work Institute (FWI) today
presented Deloitte & Touche USA LLP with its 2007 Work Life Legacy
Corporate Partnership Award, its highest honor, while also awarding
individual honors to Sharon
L. Allen, chairman of the board, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, and W.
Stanton Smith, director of Next Generation Initiatives, Deloitte & Touche
USA LLP.
FWI Work Life Legacy Corporate Partnership Award is given to an
organization that has forged a partnership across different parts and
functions in the company, resulting in innovative programming that allows
emplyees to be successful at home and at work, according to Ellen
Galinsky, president, FWI.
Allen and Smith were awarded individual Work Life Legacy honors for their
leadership in initiatives that promote the advancement and retention of
women and new models for career development, as well as research on
multigenerational differences and the links between work life and
ethics.

USA, for its organizational approach to work life issues, and to Sharon
Allen and Stan Smith, for their leadership and creativity in supporting
work force programs that have helped their organization meet its business

for the Advancement and Retention of Women, among others."

the work force of the future," Allen concluded.
Also receiving 2007 honors from the FWI this week were:
Marcie Pitt-Catsouphes, Ph.D., Sloan Work and Family Research Network;
Kathleen M. Lingle, director, Alliance for Work-Life Progress/WorldatWork;
Kathleen C. D’Appolonia, Ph.D., senior vice president, The PNC Financial
Services Group, Inc.; and Margaret M. Petruska, senior program director,
The Heinz Endowments.
The Work Life Legacy Award was founded to capture the history of the
people who have created the work life movement and continue to facilitate
its progress. Every year, the Institute honors leaders from companies,
foundations, academia and nonprofits who have created this movement in the
United States and abroad.
