Artech Information Systems LLC Recognized as a National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Corporate Plus(R) Member
Global IT Services Provider One of Selected Companies Recognized; Artech Also Commemorates 15th Anniversary and Launches New Business Development Initiatives
(CSRwire) CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 2007--Artech Information
Systems LLC, the global IT consulting and staff augmentation firm, today
announced that it has been awarded the Corporate Plus(R) Member status by
the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). The
announcement comes as Artech commemorates the 15th anniversary of its
founding.
Corporate Plus(R) is a national membership for National Minority
Business Enterprises (MBE). The category is designed to recognize
organizations' national capabilities, bring them to the attention of more
National Corporate Members, and expand their participation in the NMSDC
Network.
Artech, nominated for Corporate Plus(R) Member status by its large
corporate client, is a key participant in NMSDC's exclusive and esteemed
network of minority businesses. Chartered in 1972, NMSDC is a leading
business membership organization that provides a direct link between
corporate America and minority-owned businesses.
"Artech is honored to be recognized as an NMSDC Corporate Plus(R)
Member," said Ranjini Poddar, Artech President and co-founder. "This
recognition is especially meaningful as we celebrate our 15th anniversary,
and we will continue to deliver on our exceptional strategy for success to
all of Artech's national contracts with major corporations and government
organizations."
"The NMSDC is pleased to recognize Artech Information Systems as a
Corporate Plus(R) Member," said Harriet R. Michel, president of NMSDC.
"Minority-owned businesses continue to be a fast growing and significant
business segment, and Artech has demonstrated its contribution as a
valuable and successful minority-owned U.S.
business."
Artech is also implementing additional new business development
initiatives, including a Professional Development Program. The program is
an accelerated career growth initiative consisting of professional
training structured around a specific job and career progression. The
program will last four to six months allowing candidates to learn and
experience all aspects of Artech's business. It will also provide
employees the necessary skills for future advancement within Artech, while
better supporting Artech's client base. Upon completion of the training
period, the trainees are placed in one of three roles -- Recruiting,
Inside Sales or Outside Sales -- and will be placed at Artech or client
locations across the U.S. or selected for international assignments in
China, Japan or Vietnam.
In addition to the Professional Development Program, Artech will
launch an Alumni Program targeted to mentoring and nurturing current
employees and connecting with former consultants and employees.
Since 1992, Artech's solutions have been designed to address all areas
of critical needs in managing clients' strategic eBusiness and I.T.
investments. Some of Artech's services include I.T. consulting and staff
augmentation, turnkey project management, infrastructure management,
eCommerce and eBusiness, and business process outsourcing.
