CVS/Caremark Charitable Trust Announces $350,000 in CVS All Kids Can Fund Grants
Supports Easter Seals Services for Children with Disabilities across the Country
(CSRwire) CHICAGO, IL- May 7, 2007 – The CVS/Caremark Charitable Trust presented
$350,000 in grants to ten Easter Seals affiliates during an awards dinner
for Easter Seals Training Conference currently being held in Chicago. The
grants are part of CVS/Caremark's Corporate signature program, CVS All
Kids Can, a five-year, $25 million commitment to support children with
disabilities.
Easter Seals was selected as a CVS All Kids Can national partner in early
2006. CVS/pharmacy and the CVS/Caremark Charitable Trust have since
contributed more than $1.75 million to Easter Seals including a $500,000
commitment to Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago’s new Therapeutic Day
School and Center for Autism Research scheduled to open in fall 2008.
The 2007 CVS All Kids Can Fund recipients include Easter Seals affiliates
in Austin, Birmingham, Cleveland, Detroit, Hartford, Los Angeles, New
York, Phoenix, Tampa and Washington, D.C. Monies will be used to expand
and sustain critical local programs and services that create opportunities
for children with disabilities to learn, play and succeed.
