Enough is Enough: Technology Helps School Safety Start NOW

Defywire's $1 Million Pledge Gains Momentum "Corporate America" Steps up to the Plate

(CSRwire) April 25, 2007 - After Defywire, Inc.'s official launch of their "Enough is Enough" campaign for School Safety, Jill Stelfox has announced that "Corporate America" has definitely stepped up to the challenge.

"We've gotten responses from large companies, wireless carriers, device manufacturers, and small companies that have great and creative solutions that can help keep children safe. People are really excited about getting involved and they want to do something about it."

Ident-a-Kid Services of America and CollectiveX are two such companies.

Ident-a-Kid Services of America (www.identakid.com/Tutuh) plans to donate a yet unspecified number of their product, an Identification Card for your children, displaying vital information for quick access in case of an unexpected emergency.

"Education first, but safety always," says Kwame Tutuh, Program Director of the Fulton County division of Ident-a-Kid Services of America. "It is our job as a community and a nation to protect our most precious gifts…our children. When we heard of Defywire's 'Enough is Enough' campaign , we immediately wanted to participate--and we challenge other companies and organizations as well. Do it now!"

CollectiveX (www.collectivex.com) has also signed on, stating that they would like to share their web-based tools that aid in communication at all times.

"It is no secret that safety always improves when communication improves. By making CollectiveX's group communication platform FREE and available to all schools, communication will improve. When the opportunity arose to make a contribution to 'Enough is Enough', I didn't hesitate to volunteer the services of CollectiveX. I can't think of a better cause to be involved with," says Clarence Wooten, Founder & CEO of CollectiveX.

Defywire, Inc.'s Mobile Guardian Safety Suite provides immediate access to student information including emergency contact information, incident reporting, attendance and schedules, as well as capturing visitors to a school. The handheld technology gives school officials immediate access to emergency medical information about an ill or injured child, without losing precious minutes locating the information in a distant office. Mobile Guardian Safety Suite is capable of monitoring which children are generating incident reports at various locations throughout the school or even in transit. These reports alert administration to certain patterns that may be indicative of future predictable behaviors.

Even in the absence of a school wide catastrophic event, such a device is invaluable when athletes collapse on the practice field, or children are left on a school bus at the end of the day.

"The best part about the…'Enough is Enough' campaign and the challenge that we issued to 'Corporate America', is that our million dollars may not be enough--but…together we can solve this problem. And if you can get a mother in Northern Virginia who has a start-up software company to donate a million dollar 'Corporate America' can certainly match me in this!"

Any school district interested in immediately receiving the technology should go to www.defywire.com and click on Enough is Enough for additional details.
