USA Cares Achieves Combined Federal Campaign Status
(CSRwire) RADCLIFF, KY - April 11, 2007 - USA Cares has received official status and
will be included in the 2007 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) that will
begin on 1 September 2007. "Receiving our number (12359) is a validation
of our transparency and the trust and confidence in what USA Cares does
everyday for the men and women in uniform and their families" said,
Operations Director for USA Cares, Roger Stradley. "USA Cares'
participation in CFC will provide sustainment to the services already in
place, but will also allow for continued expansion as the organization
continues its aggressive outreach program to find and educate more
military families about its existence."
USA Cares selection and approval in the 2007 campaign comes after meeting
a number of strict requirements including an external audit, which was
completed in January.
Through the convenience of payroll deduction, federal employees will have
the opportunity to contribute to USA Cares, a four year old, proven,
military charitable organization that provides real and relevant
assistance to military service members and their families. USA Cares has
recently passed several milestones, including reaching 6,000 assistance
requests, and approaching $3 million in grant support to families in all
50 states.
USA Cares consistently performs at exemplary levels with overhead that is
under ten percent of their total assets. Required goals set by CFC have
been met by USA Cares for their inclusion into the campaign. Such
standards give federal employees the peace of mind that their contribution
will be well used and is going to be focused on those causes they want to
support.
CFC charities are organizations with tax-exempt status that provide health
and human services and that are determined to be eligible for participation
in the CFC. Organizations may apply and be listed in the CFC brochure as a
local, national or an international unaffiliated organization or as a
member of a local, national or international federation. USA Cares, with
its ability and history of being able to reach across the nation, will be
defined in its own national category, and unaffiliated with other
charities.
