(CSRwire) DEERFIELD, IL.- February 15, 2007 – Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX)
ranked among the leading socially responsible companies as recently

"Baxter is focused on developing products and therapies to save and

Parkinson, Jr., Baxter chairman and chief executive officer. "We’re

Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World
For the third consecutive year, Baxter has been recognized as one of the
"Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World" by Innovest
Strategic Value Advisors, an internationally recognized investment
research and advisory firm. Baxter is one of three healthcare companies
globally—and the only U.S. healthcare company—to have been
recognized in the "Global 100" each year since the list was first
published in 2005. Baxter is one of 19 U.S. companies applauded for
corporate sustainability performance in the 2007 list.
The "Global 100" was announced on January 24, 2007 during the World
Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The "Global 100" is selected from a
pool of 1,800 publicly-traded international companies to form a list of
those that have the best developed abilities, relative to their peers, to
manage the environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities
that they face. All of the companies included in the "Global 100" are
considered "best in class" in their respective industries. For more
information about the list, visit www.global100.org .
100 Best Corporate Citizens
Based on its corporate social responsibility performance, Baxter has been
ranked in Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine's "100 Best Corporate
Citizens" list. Released February 14, 2007, the annual survey is drawn
from more than 1,100 of the largest U.S. publicly traded companies. This
is the sixth year Baxter has been included on the list.
The list has gained national recognition as an indicator of best practices
in the area of corporate responsibility. The "100 Best Corporate Citizens"
list was developed by Business Ethics magazine in 2000. The companies
eligible for the list are U.S. firms in the Russell 1000, the S&P 500 and
