ING Foundation President, Rhonda Mims, and Hollywood Luminaries, to Receive 2006 Spotlight Award
Global Financial Services Company ING to be Recognized for Championing Social Issues, Honored by Leading Public Advocacy Organization of the Arts and Entertainment Community
(CSRwire) NEW YORK, December 18, 2006--Rhonda Mims, president of the ING Foundation,
the philanthropic arm of ING’s U.S. operations, will receive a special
2006 Spotlight Award from The Creative Coalition. Entertainment
personalities Sean Penn, Marcia Gay Harden, Heather Graham, Harvey Keitel,
and Branford Marsalis will also be honored.
The Creative Coalition awards, which recognize efforts in championing
social welfare issues, are considered one of the entertainment
industry’s most prestigious awards. This year, a special Spotlight Award
is being bestowed upon Mims for her efforts in leading ING’s civic
contributions to improving communities nationwide, through education, the
arts and human services.
“This award recognizes Rhonda Mims’s exceptional service in shaping
the direction and mission of the ING Foundation and its philanthropic
programs, as well as encouraging a spirit of volunteerism and community
service on behalf of ING employees across the United States,” said Robin
Bronk, executive director, The Creative Coalition.
