Dell to Serve as Title Sponsor for 2007 Dell East-West Shrine Game; College All-Star Football Game Benefits the Shriners Hospitals for Children

(CSRwire) ROUND ROCK, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 2006--Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) has signed on as the title sponsor of the 2007 Dell East-West Shrine Game, the premier annual college all-star football game benefiting the Shriners Hospitals for Children, scheduled for Jan. 20, 2007, at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

The East-West Shrine Game has a long history of featuring some of America's most talented players and coaches, but the game's No. 1 purpose is to raise money and awareness for the excellent orthopedic and burn care available, at no cost, through the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children throughout the United States. To date, the game has raised more than $14 million for Shriners Hospitals and has helped inform millions of people about this extraordinary philanthropy.

"Dell's commitment to health care extends beyond the information technology work we do with hospitals in the U.S.," said Linda Rebrovick, vice president of Dell's health care business. "Our long-standing relationship with the Shriners and our support of this event exemplifies how a global corporation such as Dell can drive local benefits for communities. We couldn't be more proud to support the Shriners in their efforts to help children in need."
