Launched a Company-wide Online Ethics Awareness Program
Invested approximately $5.5 million in global community development
programs
Launched a proactive stakeholder consultation process in Alaska.
Recorded no fatalities, life-threatening occupational injuries or
major environmental incidents at Talisman-operated sites.
Implemented produced water re-injection projects that will
significantly reduce the amount of oil discharged from offshore operations
in the North Sea.
Became the first Canadian company to officially support the Extractive
Industries Transparency Initiative.
Established an accounting and auditing complaints procedure and
hotline to provide employees with a means to report questionable
accounting and auditing practices.
"Responsibly Managing Impacts" was prepared in accordance with the Global
Reporting Initiative's 2002 Guidelines and has been independently reviewed
by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
