Citizens Advisers VP Named to Board of Social Investment Forum
(CSRwire) BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2006--Citizens Advisers, Inc.,
the investment adviser to Citizens Funds, today announced that Joanne
Dowdell, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and Social Research
has been appointed to the board of the Social Investment Forum.
The Social Investment Forum is the only national non-profit membership
organization dedicated to promoting the concept, practice and growth of
socially and environmentally responsible investing.
Founded in 1985, Forum membership is comprised of more than 500 financial
institutions, researchers, foundations, community development
organizations and public educators. The Forum supports cutting-edge
research on the trends, practice, performance and impact of social
investing.

Ms. Dowdell has led Citizens Advisers' social research group for the
past three years. Her team works closely with Citizens' investment
management organization to analyze publicly traded companies for their
corporate governance, social and environmental practices. She also directs
the firm's shareholder activism initiatives and sets policy and guidelines
for the company's social screening process and community investment
program.
Before Citizens, Ms. Dowdell owned her own consulting practice where
she provided research, business planning and management consulting to
companies in a variety of industries. Additionally, she worked as a vice
president at the Washington Business Information Inc., the premier source
of regulatory news and information for the pharmaceutical, medical
devices, consumer safety and small business industries.
