Annual Conference on Corporate Citizenship Leads with Risk Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Workshop

Session on averting and handling crisis and risk in uncertain times to be held March 25 in Orlando; full conference March 26-28

(CSRwire) CHESTNUT HILL - Recognizing that stakeholder engagement and effective communications are at the core of corporate responsibility, The Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College is offering a special workshop on risk communications the day before its annual International Corporate Citizenship Conference kicks off in late March in Orlando.

The workshop, featuring international communications expert Peter Sandman, creator of the "Risk = Hazard + Outrage" formula, will be held March 25 at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. A separate registration is required for this session.

On March 26 the full conference - If Corporate Citizenship is the Answer, What is the Question? - will open with an evening event at Epcot Center, hosted by sponsor The Walt Disney World Company. It concludes on March 28 with a luncheon keynote speech by Jeff Swartz, CEO and President of Timberland.

The annual conference, exclusive to a corporate audience, attracts 400 business professionals interested in learning about best practices, new management strategies, and trends regarding the role that business plays in society.

Other keynote speakers include: Steven D. Levitt, economist and co-author of the best-seller Freakonomics; Julius Walls, Jr., CEO and President, Greyston Bakery; Nicholas M. Donofrio, Executive Vice President, Innovation and Technology, IBM; and John V. Murphy, Chairman, CEO, and President of OppenheimerFunds.

The two and a half day conference features 17 learning sessions that explore topics such as:
