MicroEdge Announces Promotion of Kevin Carlsten to Vice President

(CSRwire) NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2006--MicroEdge, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS) and leading provider of solutions for the grantmaking community worldwide, is pleased to announce that Kevin Carlsten has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.

Since joining MicroEdge, Mr. Carlsten has helped solidify and expand the company's industry leadership through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, development of new market opportunities, and delivery of the most relevant enterprise software solutions for the giving community worldwide. As vice president of operations, Mr. Carlsten has responsibility for the company's overall operations and business development.

Kevin holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia University.
