GLOBE 2006 Announces New Sessions, Program Features Major International Participation
(CSRwire) Vancouver, B.C.: The GLOBE Foundation of Canada is pleased to
announce new, internationally significant additions to the program, as
well as new speakers who will be making their first appearance at a GLOBE
event. GLOBE 2006 is taking place in Vancouver March 29-31.
Jacques Dubois, Chairman Group Strategy, Swiss Re America Holding
Corporation, will speak in the opening plenary at GLOBE 2006. The plenary
on corporate sustainability and finance will highlight recent changes in
the financial structure of the new sustainable economy and will explore
how corporations and government are leading the sustainability revolution.
Swiss Re is one of the world's leading reinsurers and the world's largest
life and health reinsurer. The company operates through more than 70
offices in over 30 countries.
Two sessions added to the agenda, "Regeneration in Chinese Cities" and
"Are Super NGOs Shaping the Corporate Agenda?" will add extremely
interesting discussions to the program.
REGENERATION IN CHINESE CITIES *This session will be
translated.
China's rapid economic development and the population's sheer size have
created overwhelming demands for innovative environmental technologies and
sustainable design in urban centres. Learn from leading players in the
