The United Nations Global Compact Presents the Latest Issue of the Compact Quarterly
(CSRwire) The Global Compact presents the latest issue of the Compact
Quarterly, a publication that features articles, interviews and news on
corporate responsibility.
The Quarter 1, 2006 issue spotlights the recent Global Compact
Summit:China held in Shanghai -- an event that brought together over 500
Eastern and Western leaders from business, civil society, labour and
government to discuss the emerging corporate responsibility movement in
China. Mary Robinson, President of Realizing Rights, Jeffrey Kindler, Vice
Chairman of Pfizer, and Liu Yong-hao, Chairman and CEO of New Hope Group,
share their thoughts on how the Global Compact¹s ten principles can be
used to contribute to sustainable development, the realization of human
rights, and poverty alleviation, in addition to their value in further
integrating Chinese enterprise into the global economy. Other articles in
