(CSRwire) DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 2005--In an attempt to bring some comfort to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina, Denver Mattress Company will be donating and transporting mattress sets to evacuees. The first large shipment of 1,000 twin sets will leave Denver today for distribution by World Vision in Jackson, MS.

Additionally, mattresses will be shipped to Denver Mattress locations around the country, and will be distributed by churches designated by World Vision.

The donated mattresses have been branded HOPE, which is the intended message for the survivors.

We felt that providing a good night's sleep for the evacuees on new mattresses would be an economic and emotional relief for them. In an effort to rebuild lives during these trying times, HOPE was the message we wanted communicate. It's our intention that this mattress donation will aid in recovery of so many who have lost so much."
