MicroEdge Releases GIFTS(R) 6
(CSRwire) NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 11, 2005--MicroEdge, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) and leading provider of
solutions for the grantmaking community worldwide, announced today the
release of GIFTS(R) 6. The newest release of the flagship GIFTS(R) product
provides comprehensive support to help giving organizations manage
government regulatory "spill-over"- or the aftereffects that non-profits
face due to laws such as Sarbanes-Oxley and the USA PATRIOT Act - levied
upon their for-profit counterparts. In addition, the new version will
continue to help organizations stay lean and support their evolving
programs through comprehensive reporting features and secure integration
with online technologies.
"The release of GIFTS 6 will bring unprecedented freedom and confidence to
our clients," remarks Jim Weil, President of MicroEdge. "This version is
the result of 20 years of development and interaction with the worldwide
giving community, and we are proud to deliver such a targeted and relevant
product."
GIFTS 6 offers more flexibility that allows organizations to expand their
operations and add resources and projects more seamlessly for improved
data management and timely reporting. Providing advanced integration with
Windows and Internet grantmaking tools, GIFTS 6 extends the capabilities
of the grants management process. The new release addresses the need for
strategic giving support, management of government regulations, support
for international giving, government compliance and data integrity, among
other key issues facing today's giving organizations.
"As a long time GIFTS user, we are looking forward to this exciting new
release, which will allow us to focus on aligning our strategic giving
plan with administrative tasks to concentrate the most critical efforts
associated with running our foundation," says Cheryl Dabat, Operations
Manager of The Heinz Endowments.
Each year, worldwide, billions of dollars are awarded and tracked with
GIFTS. GIFTS 6 provides an opportunity for giving organizations to plan
for the future while continuing to work with the software they have been
using for years. Over 2,300 giving professionals rely on MicroEdge
products and services to achieve their mission and goals. This new version
offers the freedom to integrate with online technology and expand giving
initiatives across the country and around the world.
