Imperial named one of Canada's 25 Most Respected Corporations
(CSRwire) Toronto- Imperial was named one of Canada's 25 most respected
corporations in a survey done by Ipsos-Reid. Imperial placed 19th in the
2004 "Honour Roll," moving up from 28th in 2003.
"For the last 125 years, Imperial Oil has grown and prospered by meeting
the evolving needs of Canadians," said Tim Hearn, chairman, president and
chief executive officer of Imperial Oil. "We were here yesterday, and we
will be here for the long-term."
The awards ceremony and gala was held on April 6, 2005 and celebrated the
top 25 Most Respected Corporations in Canada.
Organised by the firm KPMG, Canada's Most Respected Corporations list is a
representation of how Canada's CEOs view their peers and the organisations
they lead. In preparing the list, Ipsos-Reeid surveyed a total of 263
leading CEOs and asked them to name the companies they considered to be
leading the way in demonstrating integrity and respect.
