(CSRwire) SAN FRANCISCO - Thanks to the cutting-edge, socially and environmentally responsible curriculum at Presidio World College, an affiliate of Alliant International University, the college recently won the 14th annual Acterra Business Environmental Award 2005 for Environmental and Sustainability Education. Presidio World College was recognized for its two-year, accredited MBA in Sustainable Management program, which integrates ethical, environmental and social values into every course.

Acterra, located at the Peninsula Conservation Center with the mission to protect and restore the local natural environment through stewardship, education, and leadership, has been handing out the Business Environmental Awards since 1990. These awards highlight and honor innovative programs and outstanding achievements that contribute toward a sustainable Bay Area. The category of Environmental and Sustainability Education awarded to Presidio World College recognizes educational programs that increase awareness of environmental issues and promote actions that lead to sustainability.

Presidio's innovative MBA curriculum integrates sustainable values and is designed to create positive societal change as well as drive bottom-line growth for businesses. This is the first time the college has been presented with the Acterra Award. Recipients will be honored at an award reception on April 28 at Hewlett-Packard in Palo Alto.
