Register Early for Building Energy 05
(CSRwire) GREENFIELD, MA - Building Energy 05, to be held March 15-17 at the
Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, will be the largest and most
influential green building and clean energy event of the year. Attendees
can save $100 or more by registering before February 15 at nesea.ssl.nimag.net/reg_be05.php
Building Energy 05 is the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association's
(NESEA) 30th annual conference. The new venue provides room for an
expanded trade show, and 150 speakers in over 70 sessions and 11 in-depth
workshops.
"The Practice of Sustainability" is the theme. The keynote speakers will
explain that "Art is essential" (Bruce Mau, iconoclastic international
designer), "Science matters" (Chris Twinn, a designer of the acclaimed
BedZED carbon neutral eco-village in South London), and "Business brings
it home" (Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream).
The three-day event offers a rich schedule of activities. An open public
forum on climate change will focus on what is being done and what can be
done to slow global warming. A special room for quiet contemplation will
feature a gallery of "Images of Sustainability." The trade show will
include Networking Villages, a Trade Show Reception, and NESEA Night, an
annual NESEA celebration of community. Attendees are invited to visit the
www.be05.org web site's
"About Your Practice" page before the conference to let others know about
their capabilities and commitment to sustainability. Investors' Circle
will host a venture fair within the conference, featuring presentations by
companies working toward sustainability. Attendees will enjoy exceptional
information sharing and networking opportunities with other professionals
working on clean energy generation and green building design and
construction.
The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) is the Title Sponsor of
Building Energy 05. "The high level of interest in this conference
reflects the growing momentum in renewable energy and sustainability,"
said Rob Pratt, Director of the MTC-administered Renewable Energy Trust.
"Wind and solar are growing much faster than the fossil fuel and nuclear
sectors, and green building is rapidly becoming mainstream. This is the
best event of the year to give people a look at the whole picture."
The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is the nation's
leading regional education and advocacy association that promotes
renewable energy and energy efficiency for everyday use. For more than
thirty years, NESEA has facilitated and enhanced a network of
professionals, practitioners, and the general pubic in pursuit of
responsible energy use.
