United Techonologies Executives Inducted into Academy of Women Leaders
(CSRwire) HARTFORD, CT - Seven United Technologies Corp. executives were among
80 women from across the country inducted into the Academy of Women Leaders
yesterday in New York.
The inductees were honored at the 31st annual Salute to Women Leaders
Lunch hosted by the YWCA of the City of New York. The YWCA organized the
academy to honor women leaders for outstanding professional achievement,
civic commitment and leadership.
The UTC executives, comprising 9 percent of the inductee class, are:
Eileen Drake, vice president of quality, Pratt & Whitney, who was
recognized for her track record in manufacturing operations and continuous
improvement. She is a member of Pratt's Executive Committee and has been
actively involved in Pratt's United Way campaign.
Gail Jackson, director, talent development and organizational design,
Sikorsky. She was recognized for her recent leadership of a team that
developed a corporate-wide, Web-based Job Connection system.
Candace Kronholm, senior counsel, UTC Power. She has worked on
various transactions for UTC's businesses, including strategic
alliances/combinations and project financings. She currently manages UTC
Power's general legal group, supporting all functional areas. Candace
also has been an active United Way volunteer.
Cindy Zabinski, director of e-business, Hamilton Sundstrand. She was
recognized for her leadership, overall contributions, and efforts to
develop up-and-coming professionals in the information technology
function.
Nora LaFreniere, assistant general counsel, Corporate Headquarters.
She recently transferred from Otis where she was instrumental in several
successful initiatives in her role as executive assistant to Otis
President Ari Bousbib. She also was an active supporter of Otis United Way
events.
Nancy Lintner, vice president, communications, Carrier. She is
responsible for Carrier's worldwide public image, and is vice chairwoman
of Carrier Headquarters' 2004 United Way campaign. She also serves on
Hartford's Camp Courant board of directors.
Krista Pilot, director, community affairs, corporate headquarters.
She recently launched UTC's Sustainable Cities initiative that supports
development and use of green building practices in urban centers, and
educates the public about the need for healthier environments.
