Starbucks Added to the FTSE4Good Index Series
Acknowledgement Marks the First Time Company Has Received Recognition by FTSE
(CSRwire) SEATTLE - Starbucks Coffee Company (Nasdaq: SBUX)
is pleased to announce that it has met the FTSE4Good corporate
responsibility criteria for human rights, environmental actions and social
and stakeholder engagement, and has been named to the FTSE4Good Index
Series. This marks the first time Starbucks has been included in the index
series.

global leaders in the FTSE4Good indices," said Sandra Taylor, senior vice
president, Corporate Social Responsibility for Starbucks. "Starbucks has
integrated corporate social responsibility throughout our business model
and we regard these efforts as integral to our continued success."
Starbucks has been named a component of four indices, including FTSE4Good
Global 100 Index, FTSE4Good U.S. 100 Index, FTSE4Good U.S. Benchmark Index
and FTSE4Good Global Benchmark Index.
Created and managed by FTSE Group, the independent global index company,
the FTSE4Good Index Series is a group of real-time indices designed to
reflect the performance of socially responsible equities. It covers four
markets: United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Global. Four
tradable and four benchmark indices make up the FTSE4Good index series. A
committee of independent practitioners in socially responsible investment
(SRI) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) review the indices to
ensure that they are an accurate reflection of current CSR best practice.
FTSE Group contributes income, including license fees for FTSE4Good, to
UNICEF, the global charity.
