(CSRwire) Washington, DC - SustainAbility is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Barsky as a Senior Advisor in the organisation's Washington office. Ms. Barsky will be advising corporate and institutional clients on the spectrum of sustainability challenges including community engagement, social investment, labor and human rights. She will also be responsible for expanding SustainAbility's expertise in emerging markets.

Ms. Barsky joins SustainAbility after a decade of combined work experience in finance, journalism and development with a range of private and public sector institutions and grassroots non-governmental organizations in the US, Canada, Latin America and Africa.

At SustainAbility, Ms. Barsky will play a critical role in shaping the Emerging Economies program. She will advise US and international clients on developing and implementing CSR strategies including critical issue identification, effective management of stakeholder relations, sustainable social investment initiatives, mapping of social and environmental impacts and delineation of spheres of influence, particularly in developing countries.

Born in Montreal, Canada, Ms. Barsky holds a Masters Degree from Columbia University's School of International and Political Affairs in economic and political development, and a Baccalaureate in Political Science from McGill University. She speaks French, Portuguese and Spanish.
