Nike, HSBC, Nestle Philippines, Hong Kong Government And Others Will Meet To Discuss Managing Corporate Responsibility In Asia, Hong Kong, October 14-15
(CSRwire) Hong Kong - Representatives from some of the world's biggest brands
including the CEO of Nestle Phillipines, senior executives from HSBC,
Nike, Tata Motors, GlaxoSmithKline, Timberland Asia, Shell Hong Kong, MTR
Corporation, adidas Salomon and many others are meeting in Hong Kong on
the 14-15th October to debate and discuss the state of corporate
responsibility in Asia.

"Corporate social responsibility is certainly not a new concept in Asia -
however it is now gaining real momentum as companies increasingly realise
its positive implications for both society and the long-term bottom line",

On October 14th the conference will be opened by the Hong Kong

Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.
On the second day there are 16 interactive off-the-record discussion
groups each led by 2-3 experts tackling issues such as; The business case
for NGO engagement, Communicating ethical standards to employees,
Reporting and external communications, Environment standards and
management, and building internal anti-corruption systems.
