CSRwire note: The Abbott report is available in the CSRwire Report database.
(CSRwire) ABBOTT PARK, Il. - Abbott Laboratories issued its third annual
global citizenship report, "Touching Lives." The report highlights
Abbott's work to develop sustainable business solutions to address three
major issues facing the global community: access to medicines, innovation
and science, and diversity and inclusiveness.
"Global citizenship is about the way we run our business, engage our
stakeholders, implement policies, apply our social investment and
philanthropy, and exercise our influence to bring about positive change to
help make contributions to society. It is also about doing our part to
assist in addressing some of the world's urgent needs," said Miles D.
White, chairman and chief executive officer, Abbott Laboratories. "For
Abbott, our relationships with stakeholders are fundamental to our
success."
The report illustrates how Abbott is integrating citizenship and
engagement with diverse stakeholders into many aspects of its core
business practices, from supplier standards and product quality systems,
to policy advocacy and water usage management.
