JPMorgan Chase Establishes New Office of Environmental Affairs

Amy Hayes Davidsen Appointed As Director

(CSRwire) NEW YORK - J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) announced the establishment of a new Office of Environmental Affairs, devoted to increasing the firm's focus on the environment and on individual communities. The firm also announced the appointment of Amy Hayes Davidsen as Director of the new office.

Ms. Davidsen has over 18 years of banking experience and, most recently, was in Global Philanthropic Services for JPMorgan's Private Bank. Her particular areas of expertise included advising global clients on philanthropic efforts directed toward the environment, micro-credit and human rights, as well as venture philanthropy. She was also co-chair of the Private Bank Diversity Council's communications sub-committee.

The Office of Environmental Affairs was established by the JPMorgan Chase Office of the Chairman and will report to Mark Willis, Executive Vice President and head of JPMorgan Chase's Community Development Group. This function will be accountable to the Public Policy Committee of the Board of Directors, which will oversee existing and future efforts which impact the environment.

As Director, Ms. Davidsen will report directly to Mr. Willis and will be responsible for focusing on environmental matters as they relate to JPMorgan Chase. As part of the firm's environmental management programs, Ms. Davidsen will lead a firm-wide committee to establish global policies and procedures regarding environmental issues. In addition, she will work with governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations to help JPMorgan Chase meet its responsibilities as an environmentally-sensitive corporate citizen.

Ms. Davidsen graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in mathematics. She has traveled and worked extensively overseas, including Hong Kong, Cameroon, Thailand, the Philippines, Argentina, and the United Kingdom.
