UPS Once Again “America's Most Admired”

(CSRwire) Atlanta – For the 21st consecutive year, UPS (NYSE:UPS) has been rated “America’s Most Admired” company in its industry in a survey conducted by Fortune magazine.

UPS was the only company in the survey to score above a 9 on Fortune’s 10-point scale, and was ranked No. 1 in the country on four of the eight attributes or criteria used to rank companies.

UPS was ranked No. 1 among all companies on the attributes of quality of management; financial soundness; use of corporate assets, and social responsibility. On the other attributes, UPS ranked No. 2 in the country for quality of products and services; No. 2 for long-term investment; No. 5 for innovation, and No. 5 for employee talent.

The complete rankings for each industry segment appear in the March 8th issue of Fortune and are based on a poll of 10,000 senior executives, directors and securities analysts. UPS joins companies like Procter & Gamble, IBM, Starbucks, General Electric and Johnson & Johnson at the top of their respective industries. Details were posted today on www.fortune.com.

The Fortune recognition comes just one week after the release of the latest Harris Interactive / Reputation Institute Corporate Reputation Survey, in which UPS was ranked No. 2 in the country for the public’s perception of its corporate reputation. That survey ranked UPS No. 1 in the country for “excellent customer service” and “sincerity in corporate communications.”

UPS, which has built one of the world’s best known brands, operates in more than 200 countries and territories around the world and has been widely recognized in recent years for its expanding role in synchronizing global commerce. UPS stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange (UPS) and the company can be found on the Web at www.ups.com.
