Three Outstanding Women Join Business for Social Responsibility’s Board of Directors
Mandy Cormack of Unilever, Debra Dunn of Hewlett-Packard Co. and Maria Eitel of Nike, Inc. bolster BSR’s expertise and reach
(CSRwire) SAN FRANCISCO – Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), a
business membership organization that promotes corporate social
responsibility among global companies, announced today that it has added
three outstanding business leaders to its board of directors. Mandy
Cormack of Unilever; Debra Dunn of Hewlett-Packard, Company and Maria
Eitel of Nike, Inc. will be joining the board effective immediately.
Mandy Cormack, Vice-President Corporate Responsibility & Head of Corporate
Relations, London has been with Unilever since 1996. She leads the
development of the company's communications approach to corporate social
and environmental responsibility and is closely involved in policy
development in these areas.
Debra Dunn is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Global
Citizenship of Hewlett-Packard Company. Ms. Dunn has been with
Hewlett-Packard since 1983 and has worked throughout the organization in
many key capacities. She currently has global responsibility for
corporate social and environmental responsibility, government and public
affairs, corporate philanthropy and HP initiatives aimed at providing
appropriate, technology based services and solutions to emerging markets
and underserved populations.
Maria Eitel is Vice President and Senior Advisor for Corporate
Responsibility (CR) and President of the Nike Foundation. Ms. Eitel works
with the Nike CR team and business leadership to develop the
company’s environmental, labor compliance and community affairs
strategies and policies. She has been with the company since 1998.
Arnold Hiatt, Chairman of BSR’s Board of Directors noted that,
“these newest board members add great talent and diversity to a
board which has been presiding over rapid growth and change.”
The three replace directors who have completed their terms of service --
Gun Denhart, founder of hanna Andersson; Bruce Klatsky, Chairman and CEO
of the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation; and Josh Mailman, President of the
Sirius Business Corporation -- and join an existing array of leaders that
already hold positions on the BSR board including:
