Celine Dion, Enrique Iglesias, Josh Groban, Nick Carter Among Those Featured in New “Concert For World Childrens Day” DVD
Net Proceeds Benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities
(CSRwire) OAK BROOK, IL – Beginning this month, a special, limited
edition “Concert for World Children’s Day” DVD,
featuring Celine Dion and some of the world’s leading music artists,
is available with all net proceeds benefiting Ronald McDonald House
Charities (RHMC). It can be ordered online at www.rmhc.yahoo.com for
$19.99, plus shipping and handling.
The two-and-a-half hour DVD contains 19 powerful songs by 11 top artists
with many exclusive performances including:
The Prayer with international superstar Celine Dion and triple p latinum
phenomenon Josh Groban; Maybe by Latin singing sensation Enrique Igelsias;
Help Me by former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter; Winter Games by
Grammy-award-winning composer/producer/musician David Foster; Hits Medley
by legendary Chicago singer and songwriter Peter Cetera; I Believe I Can
Fly by Gospel superstar Yolanda Adams; Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Nita
Whitaker; Spiderman by Warner Bros. crooner Michael Bublé. Also featured
is an original song, “Aren’t They All Our Children,”
with music by David Foster and lyrics by his wife, Linda Thompson, created
in honor of World Children’s Day. This international fundraiser held
at McDonald’s restaurants worldwide on November 20, 2002 raised an
estimated $15-20 million for RMHC and children’s causes worldwide.
The DVD contains never-before-seen footage of the making of the World
Children’s Day anthem; Celine Dion and Nick Carter visits to a
Ronald McDonald House and artist comments, interviews, bios and photos.
All performances were created from a high-definition television master
with wide screen 16x9 picture and Digital Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound to
maximize the home theater experience. They were recorded in the fall of
2002 during the “Concert for World Children’s Day,”
performed at the RMHC Awards of Excellence celebration in Chicago. The
Concert later aired as a special on ABC-TV.
