(CSRwire) SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - December 4, 2008 - The Center for Resource Solutions announced today that Wisconsin Public Power Inc.'s (WPPI's) Green Power for Business and its companion program for residential customers is now Green-e Energy(TM) Certified. WPPI joins the growing network of renewable energy providers that offer products certified by Green-e Energy, the nation’s leading certification and verification program for renewable energy. Both programs enable customers to make voluntary purchases of renewable energy from WPPI member utilities.

"We are very pleased to announce that WPPI is participating in Green-e Energy, offering certified renewable energy to all of its customers," said Andreas Karelas, Green-e program analyst. "WPPI is making it even easier for families and businesses to take action toward reducing their environmental footprint."

WPPI can now offer Green-e Energy Certified renewable electricity to residential and commercial customers. By purchasing WPPI renewable electricity, customers will support currently available renewable resources as well as aid the development of new renewables. WPPI's Green Power for Business and its companion program are sourced from a variety of renewable resources, including wind, biomass, and small hydro.
