KPMG LLP Names Kevin Martinez to Lead Corporate Citizenship
(CSRwire) NEW YORK, July 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kevin Martinez, 46, has joined
KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, in the newly created
position of executive director, corporate citizenship, according to an
announcement by Jack Taylor, executive vice chair, operations, KPMG LLP.
Martinez, most recently vice president of community affairs at Home Depot
and president of The Home Depot Foundation, will be responsible for
directing KPMG's corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda and
activities, including community involvement, charitable giving,
environmental, pro bono, and volunteerism programs. He is also charged
with maintaining alignment of KPMG's internal and external CSR mission,
objectives and achievements. Martinez will additionally chair the firm's
newly established Corporate Citizenship Steering Committee.

Martinez brings 15 years of experience in managing community relations and
corporate philanthropy, volunteerism, and social responsibility to his KPMG
role. As vice president, community affairs, with Home Depot and as
president of The Home Depot Foundation, he managed the company's community
affairs team in North America and directed the company's global giving
strategies and disaster relief efforts.
Martinez began his corporate and community service career in 1993 with the
Seattle Aquarium Society, and continued it in the King County, Washington,
Executive's Office, and at Eddie Bauer Holdings Inc. and Starbucks Coffee
Co.
Martinez earned a bachelor's degree in communication and advertising from
the University of Washington.He will be based in New York and Montvale,
NJ.
