(CSRwire) MILWAUKEE,WI. - July 21, 2008 - Johnson Controls, a Fortune 100 company that creates smart environments for vehicles, homes and workplaces, today announced its inclusion on the 2008 FTSE4Good Index Series. This is the fifth time the company has earned this recognition.

The FTSE4Good Index Series is calculated by the global index provider FTSE Group to measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards, and to facilitate investment in those companies. "Corporate social responsibility is a commitment that's integrated into our values as well as our commercial activity around the world," said Charles Harvey, vice president of Diversity and Public Affairs for Johnson Controls. "Our automotive and building environment businesses are leading the way in delivering unique solutions that save energy and benefit the planet, and our employees are leading the way in supporting important causes that benefit people across the globe."

"We are delighted to be recognized by the FTSE4Good Index for translating our commitment into action in our workplaces and communities," he said.
