Allstate Releases 2007 Social Responsibility Report
(CSRwire) NORTHBROOK, IL - July 15, 2008 - Today Allstate announces the release of
its fifth annual report on social responsibility, "Responsibility. Every
day". Allstate was one of the first U.S. insurance and financial services
companies to publish an annual Social Responsibility report.
"Many companies today talk about social responsibility, but Allstate lives
it every day. Our commitment is reflected daily through company policies
and initiatives designed to make a positive impact within our offices,
throughout our marketplace and in our communities," said Vicky Dinges,
assistant vice president, public social responsibility. "The report
outlines our goals and achievements in this arena, providing employees,
agency owners, customers and shareholders with another reason to take
pride in their association with Allstate."
Allstate details its latest efforts to be a leading corporate citizen in
the complete online report (www.allstate.com/socialresponsibility).
The company is also offering a summary of key accomplishments and metrics
in a brief printed brochure. The brochure is printed on Forest
Stewardship Council-certified, 100 percent post-consumer recycled paper in
a facility that is Green-e-certified and runs on 100 percent wind
energy.
Allstate's 2007 Social Responsibility Report is divided into three major
sections, reflecting a user-friendly way for the public to view:
Workplace: A description of the company's employee work environment and
shared commitments
Marketplace: Analysis of Allstate's competitive arena, including
customers, suppliers, business policies and sales channels
Corporate: Allstate's roles and responsibilities as a corporate
citizen
