Sokolis Group Takes an Environmental Leadership Position by Becoming Carbon Neutral and Supporting Renewable Energy through Carbonfund.org

(CSRwire) Philadelphia, PA,. - June 10, 2008 - Sokolis Group announced today that it is offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, one of the country’s leading carbon offset organizations. Sokolis Group is offsetting all its carbon emissions for the year. This commitment establishes Sokolis Group as an environmental leader in the oil and gas consulting community and demonstrates the proactive steps Sokolis Group is taking in the fight against global climate change.

Sokolis Group's clients are very concerned about global warming. Considering the implications of climate change, carbon offsets through Carbonfund.org are a natural extension of the work Sokolis Group does on behalf of its stakeholders.

Sokolis Group provides consulting services to fleets concerning strategies to reduce total fuel consumption, assists fleet owners with fuel supply chain management strategies, and identifies more efficient methods of operating and implement various types of technology to reduce fleet emissions. It evaluates ROA, ROI, and fueling methodologies and performs cost benefit analysis to provide complete solutions for entire fleet management.

Since its core business is based on fuel consumption, it recognizes how important it is to support the development of renewable energy and do its own part by neutralizing its carbon footprint, as well as helping its clients do the same. Sokolis Group believes in leading by example, so it joined Carbonfund.org's CarbonFree Partner Program.

"It's time to bring innovative ideas to the marketplace and capitalize on alternative fuels and technologies that make sense in the long term," said McKenzie Egender, Executive Consultant of Sokolis Group. "Sokolis Group specializes in helping fleets identify the most cost-effective fuel strategies and sustainable fuel reduction models. Sokolis Group is committed to supporting renewable energy projects."

"By reducing and offsetting its own footprint, Sokolis Group is sending a strong message that it is serious about fuel-use reduction and energy efficiency," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "That’s good news for its clients and for the environment. We're happy to have them onboard as a CarbonFree Partner."
