Hokura Introduces TransparentCMS[TM] Version 2.0
New product release features dynamic dashboard reporting on vendor CSR compliance status
TransparentCMS Compliance Manager Dashboard
(CSRwire) San Ramon, Calif. — Hokura LLC has announced the release of
TransparentCMS Version 2.0, incorporating dynamic new features for
comprehensive compliance management within the retail supply chain.
Available May 1, 2008, TransparentCMS Version 2.0, includes:
Real-time dashboard reporting
Audit scheduling through an Outlook-like interface
Audit invoicing
Standardized drill-down reports
Dynamic build-your-own search
Dynamic build-your-own reports
Self-administered customization
"Our customers have eagerly awaited completion of the dashboard reporting
capability, which allows retailers to compare the performance of their
vendors against established compliance standards," said Kumaran Perumal,
Hokura co-founder and vice president of product development and support.
"{When vendor performance is unacceptable, the audit scheduling and
invoicing function empowers retailers to promote continuous improvement at
the factory level."
TransparentCMS automates the process of managing Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) compliance and Customs-Trade Partnership Against
Terrorism (C-TPAT) security compliance in the global retail/manufacturing
supply chain. The modular system offers five key components: Vendor
Compliance Agreements, Vendor/Factory Profile Management, Vendor
Self-Assessment Management and Factory Compliance Audit Management.
The system allows agents, vendors and factories to register and manage
their profiles, then electronically sign agreements that document
accountability for CSR compliance, product quality and C-TPAT
certification. Audit results are recorded to track supplier performance
over time.
TransparentCMS gives retailers instant visibility into supply chain
compliance. The rules-based system indicates which suppliers have
up-to-date, verified documentation and assigns a risk factor to those
suppliers who are non-compliant. By enabling self-assessment and
independent verification, the system also promotes collaboration among
supply chain partners.
"Hokura is a company that can make a difference in how supply chain
partners work together," said President and Co-Founder Enrico Lara. “We
are integration specialists for business processes and the people who
implement them."
Hokura offers TransparentCMS Version 2.0 as a subscription-based Software
as a Service (SaaS), where subscribers pay an affordable fee per
transaction (vendor/factory registration or audit). TransparentCMS can
also be delivered as an installed client server-side software product. In
both models, TransparentCMS can by customized to meet the unique business
needs of each client.

Hokura in the News
Learn how Hokura helped the Mervyns department store chain after its break
from Target, when the retailer replaced all its operating systems in 18
months. The Apparel Magazine April 2008 cover story, "Mervyns Tackles
Opportunity," reveals how Mervyns' product design and development team
successfully implemented a full suite of integrated, web-based systems
that promote vendor collaboration.
"From the beginning, Mervyns IT and PD&D teams worked closely in sync and
partnered with Hokura LLC, a consulting group and solutions provider. 'The
IT team, including Hokura, was with us from the very beginning when we
worked on what the three-year vision would be, to take all these databases
and replace them with fully integrated 24/7 applications,' says [Becky]
Nesmith, [director of Mervyns product design & development (PD&D)
operations]. ‘There was a very unified vision and that made all the
difference.' "
