Hnedak Bobo Group Partners with Carbonfund.org to go CarbonFree(TM)

(CSRwire) MEMPHIS, TN - April 21, 2008 – Hnedak Bobo Group (HBG) announced that it is offsetting its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, one of the country's leading carbon reduction and offset organizations. As a CarbonFree(TM) Business Partner, HBG is offsetting carbon emissions from its business facility as well as employee air travel and commute.

Through the support of Carbonfund.org's renewable energy and reforestation projects, HBG is offsetting its impact on the environment. Because of the implications of global warming, HBG is assuming a philosophy of sustainability in regards to the firm’s design and business practices.

"We, as architects, must become positive, action-oriented participants in green design by understanding, educating, integrating and practicing the concepts of sustainable design as it pertains to our projects and daily lives," said Greg Hnedak, FAIA, Co-Founder/Partner & Principal of Hnedak Bobo Group. "Carbonfund.org has provided us with a means to support renewable energy and reforestation while promoting energy efficiency and sustainable building design."

"It's crucial for architecture firms to adopt sustainability practices both for themselves and for their projects, because buildings are one of the largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions. With all their initiatives, HBG is setting a great example ," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "We're pleased to help HBG go CarbonFree."
