The CRO Offers Members Enhanced Access to Corporate Responsibility Reports
(CSRwire) EDISON, N.J. - March 31, 2008 - CRO (Corporate Responsibility Officer), a
unit of business media publisher Crossing Media, began providing enhanced
access to CRO member companies' corporate responsibility and
sustainability reports through a content partnership with the U.K.'s
CorporateRegister.com, which offers the globe's largest, online database
of corporate responsibility and sustainability reports.
The new partnership shines a stronger spotlight on the corporate
responsibility and sustainability reports of The CRO's corporate members
and greatly improves the timeliness of their presentation as
CorporateRegister.com updates companies’ profiles automatically.
To access the Corporate Responsibility Reports feature on www.thecro.com, users
click on the 'Corporate Responsibility Reports' tab on the left side of
TheCRO.com homepage. They then navigate to a page that features reports
from The CRO's corporate members.
Companies do not need to contact TheCRO.com to display their newly issued
reports since CorporateRegister.com has automated the updating process.
"This partnership becomes another value-added benefit for The CRO's
roughly 140 corporate members, who already get privileged access to
research and other content through the Members Lounge on TheCRO.com," said
Jonathan Campbell, the CRO's Vice President of Membership Development. "We
believe that access to premium content, such as that offered through
Corporate Register and through CRO-generated events and publications, will
be an ongoing process and a signature of our corporate responsibility
mission."
Visitors to www.theCRO.com can also get further
updates and access reports from thousands of non-CRO member companies
free-of-charge through CorporateRegister.com. (Sign-up is required).
CorporateRegister.com, too, benefits through the content partnership with
TheCRO by gaining a new platform to reach a predominantly U.S. audience on
TheCRO.com. Since the release of CRO's '100 Best Corporate Citizens' list
last month, traffic to www.theCRO.com has spiked to exceed
100,000 unique visitors monthly.
"We are proud to partner with The CRO to provide this value-added resource
for The CRO's member companies and website visitors, and hope this serves
as an incentive for all CRO members to publish such a report," said Paul
Scott, Managing Director, CorporateRegister.com Ltd.
The partnership between CRO magazine, a unit of Crossing Media, based in
Edison, N.J., and the U.K.'s CorporateRegister.com, was announced several
months ago and implemented March 27.
In other developments, TheCRO promoted Danielle Lee to the new position of
Managing Editor of CRO Magazine and TheCRO.com. Lee most previously was the
publication’s Associate Editor.
Before moving to New York City in 2006 and joining The CRO, Lee worked for
a range of entertainment and lifestyle publications in Los Angeles. Most
recently, she covered the television industry as an editorial staff member
for industry trade magazine TelevisionWeek. Prior to that, she worked at
national entertainment publication Movieline's Hollywood Life and as an
assistant editor at celebrity lifestyle magazine Brentwood.
Lee holds a bachelor's degree in print journalism and a minor in
cinema/television from the University of Southern California in Los
Angeles.

The CRO had 5000 unique visitors in March. In a world with transparent technology tools, probably not smart to inflate your numbers by 2000%. Not very CSR.

James: CRO is indeed committed to transparency as a fundamental plank of CR.
According to our CMS reports, www.theCRO.com enjoyed a monthly average of 75,477 unique monthly visitors in the 11 months to 3.31.08, with a peak figure of 103,475 unique visits in February 2008. I note that siteanalytics carries a statement stating "We have little data for thecro.com, so these are rough estimates".
