Conference Concludes with Announcement of 2nd Annual "World's Most Ethical Companies"
(CSRwire) NEW YORK, NY - March 26, 2008 - The Ethisphere
Institute and Forbes Magazine
are pleased to announce their joint-conference, "Driving Profit through
Ethical Leadership." The conference, which will take place on Tuesday,
June 3rd at the Rainbow Room in New York City, will highlight ethical
leadership and recognize Ethisphere Magazine’s 2008 World's Most Ethical

"Time and again it has been proven that companies with strong and
exceptional ethical leaders typically outperform their competitors," said

practices at every level of the business, including suppliers, customers
and partners."
Dave Steiner, CEO of Waste
Management, who was also named on the 100 Most
Influential People in Business Ethics 2007 list by the institute, will
deliver the keynote address during the lunchtime session, and Steve Forbes,
Chairman and CEO of Forbes and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Magazine will be
addressing the attendees at the dinner reception.
Leaders from 2007 World's Most Ethical companies, Google and PepsiCo will offer
attendees valuable insight on their businesses' ethical practices in the
many panels and discussion groups planned for the day-long conference.
Alan Boeckmann, CEO of Fluor, along with other
notable CEOs, will speak on the roundtable, "Leading by Example: The CEO
as the Ethical Role Model," providing valuable insights from his work on
World Economic Forum Partnering Against Corruption.
The panels, which will be moderated by Forbes editors, include:
- Leading by Example: The CEO as an Ethical Role Model
- Human Capital and the Value in Values-Based Leadership
- Going Green and Supply Chain Sustainability
- Preparing for Compliance Catastrophes
- Measuring the Return on Your Investment in Ethics
