The Spring 2008 Carpet One Floor & Home Welcomes Your Support Campaign
will reach a cumulative total of over $630,000 in donated funds for breast
cancer research and awareness since its inception in 2004.
"To know that Carpet One Floor & Home has raised over half a million
dollars through the sale of pink ribbon welcome mats for such an important
cause," says Eric Demaree, President of Carpet One Floor & Home, "makes me
very proud. Our families, friends, customers, and communities are
affected by this cause. It is an honor to join the BCRF and the CCS each
fall and spring in their mission to eliminate this disease."
"Carpet One Floor & Home's ongoing support of BCRF has been
inspiring," says Myra Biblowit, BCRF President. "They are dedicated to
this cause, and maintaining partnerships with strong, socially responsible
organizations like theirs allows us to continue our fight to raise funds
for breast cancer research and awareness in hopes of eradicating this
disease within our lifetime."
"Carpet One Floor & Home is doing a great job of demonstrating what it
means to be a responsible company," says Dr. Barbara Whylie, CEO, Canadian
Cancer Society. "Ongoing support keeps our momentum and efforts moving
forward so we can continue to educate women about breast cancer, and with
this momentum, we will continue the search for a cure."
Extremely durable, stain-and water-resistant, and machine-washable,
Carpet One Floor & Home's 2008 spring-and-summer-themed mats make perfect
gifts.
The welcome mats are available from April through June at Carpet One
Floor & Home stores for approximately $21.99 USD each. Twenty-five
percent of the sale of each welcome mat will go to The Breast Cancer
Research Foundation in the U.S. and the Canadian Cancer Society in Canada.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R) was founded in 1993 by Evelyn
H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization
dedicated to funding innovative clinical and genetic research. The
Foundation supports scientists at top universities and academic medical
centers worldwide, conducting the most advanced and promising breast
cancer research that will lead to prevention and a cure in our lifetime.
A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes
directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. In October
2007, over $32 million was awarded to more than 150 researchers across the
U.S. and in Canada, Latin America, the Middle East, and throughout Europe.
Money magazine named BCRF one of America's eight top charities. And for
the sixth consecutive year, BCRF received Charity Navigator's highest
rating: four stars. For more information, visit www.bcrfcure.org or call
