Alcoa Named to FORTUNE Magazine's Most Admired List for 25th Consecutive Year
(CSRwire) NEW YORK, NY - March 10, 2008 - For the 25th year in a row, Alcoa (NYSE:AA)
has been named to FORTUNE Magazine's "Most Admired" list. The annual
ranking is the definitive report card on corporate reputations.
For its survey of 622 companies in 65 industries, FORTUNE asked industry
executives, directors and securities analysts to rate companies on eight
criteria ranging from investment value to social responsibility.
Last December, FORTUNE named Alcoa to its 2007 Blue-Ribbon Companies list,
an honor recognizing companies that appear on at least four FORTUNElists in
a calendar year. Alcoa has also attained recognition as a top role model in
sustainable business practices, when named one of the most sustainable
corporations in the world for the fourth year in a row at the World
Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Alcoa was the only U.S. based
company named to the list from the Materials sector.
