The National Job Fair & Training Expo Does More for Diversity in the Workplace With the Addition of a New Partner: DiversityCareers.ca
(CSRwire) TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/07/08 -- The National Job Fair &
Training Expo is pleased to announce that DiversityCareers.ca joins as
partner for the 2008 spring and fall editions in Toronto.
The partnership with DiversityCareers.ca, Canada's one-stop-diversity job
site specializing on diversity employment and career development, starts
with the upcoming 12th edition, scheduled on April 8 and 9, 2008, at the
Metro Toronto Convention Centre (North Building, Hall C).
Diversitycareers.ca will promote The National Job Fair & Training Expo not
only as the Ontario's most recognized, comprehensive and largest
recruitment event, but as a place of diversity that can provide applicants
of current jobs from employers dedicated to a diverse workplace. The
National Job Fair & Training Expo is a multi-sector recruitment event
presented to serve the employment needs of communities from the Greater
Toronto Area and its outlying regions.
DiversityCareers.ca employment website provides job postings and links
skilled immigrants/newcomers in Canada, visible minorities, women in the
workplace, aboriginal, people with disabilities, mature workers (45+) and
Canadians to employers who promotes employment equity and diversity in the
workplace. The National Job Fair & Training Expo is the other link for the
diversity to meet face to face with employers, training and education
facilities, organizations promoting entrepreneurship and career services
organizations.
"The National Job Fair & Training Expo leads the field in recruitment
event in Canada so we are very pleased to enter into this important
partnership" states Joanna Lee, Communications Consultant of
Diversitycareers.ca. "The combination of their experience as leaders in
delivering successful events and the strength of DiversityCareers.ca
online job board, this new collaboration will enable us to grow our
engagement with employers looking to diversify their talent pool and
assist jobseekers in finding work in Canada."
For this 12th edition, organizers are expecting over 150 exhibitors from
the Greater Toronto Area and from across Canada, and 8,000 to 10,000
highly-motivated and experienced candidates - the highest attendance in
Ontario - from the Greater Toronto Area and its outlying regions. The fair
consists of four main pavilions: The Employment Pavilion, the Training &
Education Pavilion, the Career Services Pavilion and the Entrepreneurship
Pavilion. It is completed with several interactive activities and services
supporting the career development of all attendees, such as the free
Professional Resume Assessment Centre, the Posting Zone, the Public
Presentation Area, etc.
The National Job Fair and Training Expo's three major sponsors are the
Toronto Sun, 24 Hours and the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and
Universities. The commitment of major sponsors, associate sponsors and
partners, the continued participation of exhibitors and their growing
numbers are the best indicators of the key role The National Job Fair &
Training Expo plays in today's Ontario employment market.
