National Conference Program to Focus on Green Retail Trends
Attendee Registration opens for earthNOW expo
Retailers will learn about green consumer trends and how to reach and sell to this exploding new market segment.
(CSRwire) March 5, 2008 - Retail store owners, buyers and corporate purchasing
managers will discover the latest green retail trends and concepts at earthNOW expo June
4-5, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The earthNOW expo seminar
program is designed to help business owners and managers learn how to
make money and improve customer relations by implementing sustainable
business practices and incorporating green products into their merchandise
mix.
Bob Peters, earthNOW expo show manager, said "The goal of the seminar
program is to create a launching pad for new and established eco-retailers
to share ideas and gain a better understanding of what is happening in the
green retail marketplace."
Seminar attendees will learn about the latest green retail studies and how
this information will impact the retail industry now and in the future.
Attendees will learn how to attract, sell and retain green consumers and
increase profits in the process.
Industry leaders will present data from studies on green shopping mall
development to earth-friendly consumer buying habits and trends.
Internet retailers can attend a series of seminars focusing on green web
site tips, green shipping and packaging concepts and product selection for
e-tailers.
Retail executives will learn and understand key eco terms like
sustainable, free trade, social responsibility, recycled, organic,
natural, etc. and understand the pitfalls when terms are used and promoted
inaccurately. Armed with this knowledge, retailers will be able to hold
their suppliers more accountable and insure the store's credibility to
their customers.
Business owners will also have the opportunity to evaluate the challenges
and the benefits of developing and implementing green retail business
strategies.
Peters added, "Retailers are ultimately responsible for the products they
sell and, as consumers become more educated on environmental issues, it
will be imperative that retailers stay one step ahead of the green curve
if they want to keep customers and increase their market share."
The earthNOW expo seminar presenters include business professionals
specializing in retail store design, merchandising, pricing, consumer
research and marketing. Most of the presenters are established
eco-business owners that will share their experiences and insights on
going green.
Manufacturers and service suppliers offering eco-friendly products are
invited to participate by exhibiting
at earthNOWexpo.

offers special advanced
