Adam & Eve Donates Over $100k to Worthy Causes in 2007!
(CSRwire) HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Adam & Eve (adameve.com),
America's #1 source for all things erotic, is pleased to announce it
contributed over $100,000 in charitable efforts in 2007.
Long known as a local philanthropist, Adam & Eve has routinely upped
its contributions each year.
"Adam & Eve has just ended another record-breaking year in sales,"
says Chad Davis, Marketing Director for the company. "We've always been
great community neighbors, giving to local education and community
services. And our philosophy is basically, the more we receive... the more
we give back."
From condom donations to local food drives to building a house with
Habitat for Humanity, Adam & Eve expanded its efforts this year with
contributions to over 75 different organizations -- both locally and
nationally.
"Adameve.com, the company's retail website, raised a significant
amount of money for breast cancer awareness and research in October
(National Breast Cancer Awareness Month)," says Davis. "People might be
surprised to know we donate a considerable amount of money to the American
Heart Association and Relay for Life, as well as industry-related
organizations such as the National Coalition Against Censorship."
In addition to money, employees also donated time in 2007. A large
number of Adam & Eve's 350 employees spent time building the Habitat
house, collecting food for local residents for Thanksgiving and providing
gifts for needy children for Christmas.
"Our employees are the ones who tell us where they want the money to
go," says Davis. "They have always jumped in during times of need to help
with whatever they can. Adam & Eve has a history of matching donations
made by employees... and the $100,000 we contributed does not include
individual employees' monetary efforts. At the end of the day, it really
shows that we care."
